About the Report
This is the final report of the independent Review of the Lower Goulburn Floodplain Rehabilitation Project.
Note: The views expressed in this paper do not necessarily reflect those of the Commonwealth or State or Territory governments and no such inference should be drawn.
The findings of this Review are presented in two parts. Part 1 constitutes a summary of the main findings and key recommendations arising from the Review. It sets out the background to this Review and its Terms of Reference. This is followed by the presentation of several general points that arise from the Review. Following a statement of interpretation of the flood management problem, the remainder of this document responds directly to the Terms of Reference for the Review. It concludes with a suggested future pathway for decision-making and implementation of a floodplain management strategy.
Part 2 presents the detailed technical assessment of work that has been carried out in conjunction with the Lower Goulburn Floodplain Management Project. It consists of a set of technical reports, which collectively address in detail the Terms of Reference for this Independent Review.
